3199 and 3201 West Lake Boulevard, Tahoe City

Welcome to Eagle Landing.  Location, Location.  Eagle Landing sits 102 feet above lake level thus providing a 180° panoramic view of Lake Tahoe.  Just a one minute walk down the hill, is a park for a picnic, fishing, kayaking and even renting a buoy for your boat.  The house faces east and it provides early morning sunrises over the Sierra Mountains and Alpine glow sunsets. 

 

To the north is Tahoe City, just 3.6 miles away.  Halfway to Tahoe City is Sunnyside Resort and Fire Sign Café.  In Tahoe City you will find numerous shopping and restaurants.  To the south of the home, approximately 2 miles away, is Westshore Café, one of the top restaurants in the Tahoe Basin with lakeside dining.  Across the street from the Café is Homewood Mountain Ski Resort. The historic Swiss Lakewood Restaurant and Chambers Landing are south of the Resort.

 

In 2001, the house was totally renovated.  A two-car garage was added along with a master bedroom with balcony.  The house has four bedrooms, three baths, a bunk house and wine cellar.  Ownership includes use of the private Skyland HOA pier and beach.

 

The exterior and interior of the home has natural log trim.  These are matching logs that were cut in half and used as facia boards on the exterior of the house, as well as long trim on the interior.  Window trim and interior baseboard were cut from logs with bark attached, providing a unique trim for windows and baseboards.  All of the metal trim on the exterior of the house was done in copper.  The front entry dome and chimney cap are of copper.  There are five hand carved Outriggers done by a local artist from Truckee.  Two wood exterior doors are handmade with handmade metal trim with German locks. A handcrafted log stairway leads up to the Tower.  Almost every room in the home has a view of the lake.
